A RICS-certified surveyor with over 25 years of experience in mining and property, Simon is our in-house specialist for property inspections. Coming from a family with four generations in Cornwall’s mining industry, he brings a unique understanding of the area’s mining heritage to every inspection.
In his free time, Simon enjoys fishing along the Cornish coast, making the most of the stunning surroundings he knows so well.
Nic Pettett
Senior Geologist
After graduating from Camborne School of Mines, Nic worked as a mining consultant at Cornwall Consultants before joining Westcountry Mines in 2015. He specialises in compiling Mining Searches and supervising Mining Investigations.
A lifelong interest in Cornwall’s geology gives Nic a valuable perspective on the nature of old mine workings and mining hazards across the county.
Outside of work, he enjoys family life and exploring Cornwall’s rich mining history.
